Stanford Hotel X SF Bloggers

October 30, 2015

A few weeks ago, the Stanford Court Hotel hosted a lovely happy hour for a few bloggers in the city. It was complete with yummy appetizers, drinks and gift bags. The main reason for hosting the event was to tell us of the upcoming redesign of the hotel, a plan to make it even more tech friendly and modern. Nestled on the top of Nob Hill next to the old gems of the city, Mark Hopkins Hotel and the Fairmont, the Stanford Court has some tough competition. But nonetheless, it is a more budget friendly place to stay and definitely more modern. In fact, my parents and I stayed here when I first moved to the city! Definitely consider it if you are traveling to SF anytime soon. Take a peek inside:

Also, take a look at the other bloggers who joined me: Tiffany of Sunshine Daydream Photography and Lindsey of Seamless Sea!

Always love to help grow the community and hear about local events and initiatives!

Love,
BB xx

Locals Guide to Evergreen, Colorado

October 29, 2015

Since my parents decided to relocate to the lovely mountain town of Evergreen, every chance I get I plan to visit them. My second visit to this small mountain town was with three of my best friends for my birthday. The weekend was filled with good food made by my chef of a mother, laughs, and cuddles by the fire. I decided to make a guide to the town for those who are visiting Colorado, my favorite place on Earth.

My non-touristy guide includes everything from food to fashion- all the things I love.

The best place for pizza: Beau Jo’s, famous for inch-thick crust that you dip in honey

The best place for consignment shopping: Aspen’s Consignment, has everything from furniture to clothes, I found they have a great winter sweater and boot collection

The best place for coffee: Muddy Buck, they have Bhakti Chai (a local Colorado favorite) and cinnamon rolls the size of your head baked fresh daily. The atmosphere is so mountain cozy too. Need I say more…

The best place to find anything: Big R, they have everything from home improvement to clothing to gardening… Think mountain town home depot

The best place to walk around: Evergreen Lake, it even has ice skating in the winter. Too cute

If you have any recommendations or have been to this area before, I would love to add to my guide!

Much love,
BB xx

Work to Play Pieces

October 27, 2015

Hi lovelies! I just got back from Colorado after a much needed relaxing weekend with my friends and family, so it’s back to work for me. Dressing for work has forever been a challenge since I have to dress “business casual” for my everyday job, as a financial consultant, and this differs from how I would ideally dress everyday. I found finding pieces that easily transition from work to play is key, like these amazing snakeskin loafers.

Everyday work to play essentials not only include clothing, but also jewelry. Gorjana is my favorite, and has some of the best simple, gold jewelry that is perfect for work and play. AND they deliver through Rocksbox! So you don’t have to commit to the pieces unless you really love them.

What I’m Wearing:
Stripe Cotton Tee: Zara
Jewelry: Gorjana
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Snakeskin Loafers: H&M

Don’t forget to use the code laurendaileyxoxo to get your first month of Rocksbox free!

Love you all,
BB xx

A New Beauty Tool That Eliminates Frizz and Adds Volume

October 22, 2015

Hi everyone! I have been SO busy with work and blogging lately, which has been rewarding but exhausting to say the least. A few weeks ago, Sultra Beauty contacted me about a new hair styling tool they wanted me to try out, a blow-dryer and round brush in one. Seeing that I have a literal mane of hair that always needs taming, I was willing to give it a chance. Below are the results…

I was stoked that the tool added volume and eliminated frizz for more than two hours (usually only lasts a few minutes with all the humidity in SF). Truthfully, it was a bit hard to use at first since I mostly use a flatiron and curling iron, but got easier as I continued to use it. The most impressive aspect was that it only took me 15 minutes to dry AND straighten my hair while adding volume. That’s like, what, three tools in one? Get it here.

Cheers to shiny, voluminous, frizz-free hair!

Love,
BB xx

P.S. I’m headed to Colorado today with a few of my besties for more birthday shenanigans… Follow along on my !
