I’ve never lived in a place where all you need is a scarf or a sweater in the winter, but that’s winter in California. While I do love a fresh snow, I have no problem with soaking up the sun all year round. Plus, I get my fill of snow when I go home for the holidays in Colorado (like I am now)! For a day of shooting and relaxing on the beach with Katie Zahorak, I wore this dress from a local California clothing brand, Mia Mars. I love the crochet top connected to the maxi skirt below, it creates a really unique bohemian style. I actually wore booties on the beach in this look, but the skirt is so long you can’t tell! Since that December day was about 75 degrees with sunshine, all I needed for a jacket was a scarf. I got this lovely velvet scarf from GirlNGlam, a creative shop on Etsy. I love finding little gems like these and shopping small! The velvet adds a nice texture contrast to the crochet of the top.

In other news, I’m almost done moving into my new place in closer to work in the South Bay! I’m excited to finish hanging pictures, curtains, and finding cute knick-knacks to fill the space. It’s a bit larger than I had before, so I don’t have enough to fill it yet! The apartment didn’t even come with a fridge oddly (I guess a lot of places in L.A. don’t…) so I have to get that too. I know these things will come with time, but I just want to be unpacked already. I can’t wait to have people over and show you all the inside of my new #bohemiansbungalow.
Hope you all had a lovely holiday, I am still in Colorado for a few days then it’s back to L.A. for me!
Fantastic scarf ????????
Thank you! I used it as a wrap to keep warm 🙂
Love,
Lauren
