Summer is well underway! Some people are saying that summer is already over, but it technically doesn’t end until September 22nd (and in LA it really doesn’t end until November when the rainy season starts)! So we’ve got a bit to go and I’m stoked about it. One of my favorite items to wear in the summer is a romper, because it’s just as breezy as a dress, but a little more reserved aka you can do more fun activities in a romper! I found a great ruffle-sleeve romper at Modcloth, an online women’s retailer that specializes in vintage-inspired clothing.

This romper combines two trends that are huge this season, ruffles and florals. Sometimes ruffles can get to be too much if there are too many, but this romper is tasteful having only ruffles along the sleeves. I paired the romper with some platform crisscross sandals (similar here), a straw tote (Lucky Brand last season), and my go-to straw hat. Straw details are all the rage nowadays, but I love the effortless bohemian vibe they give to any outfit. Finally, I wore layered this Triangle necklace from Modcloth with another one of my favorite star necklaces from Gorjana and a bold gold ring also from Modcloth.
I wore this outfit for a night out in the South Bay. Oh, how I’ll miss these warm nights… Luckily we’ve got a little more of summer to keep us them going a bit longer.
