Happy Hour with ONEHOPE Wine

May 4, 2016

Last Thursday night, Andi Teggart of Lucky Andi and Lucky Collective hosted a blogger happy hour at Andi’s house. Andi has the absolute CUTEST apartment, filled with mid century modern bohemian charm that is everything I dream of for a home. It was seriously #goals. We invited a few of our blogger friends over for some snacks and a whole lotta wine from ONEHOPE Wine.

After a little bit of conversation, we headed to the rooftop at sunset to pop the champagne, which was in the cutest sparkly gold bottle. I made sure to get some good shots of Andi trying to pop the champs…

See more of our little happy hour celebration on my . Huge thanks to ONEHOPE for providing the wine for our get together.

Love,
Lauren

Best Kept Secrets in Napa

March 30, 2016

About two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Flavor! Napa Valley Festival, a week long festival in Napa with over forty events hosted by local wineries and caterers/restaurants. These events ranged from private wine tours, banquets, brunches, and much more. I attended two of the many events: a private Napa Valley wine tour and a brunch party. Both of these events were spectacular, especially the food- both on the wine tour and at the brunch party. But the wine tour was the event that stole my heart.

I’ll take you inside some of the best wineries I have ever been to…

1. Spring Mountain Vineyard: This place is magical. From the original old architecture to the abundance of plants engulfing the property, it really and truly was my favorite winery I have been to in Napa yet. Oh, and the wine is good too.

2. Rudd Oakville Estate: From the expansive fields of wine and crops to the underground cave, this winery will make you never want to leave. There was something new around every corner at this winery- when you think you have seen it all, you really haven’t. I suggest taking a tour downstairs to the private dining room underground if you can! Their Samantha’s Cabernet Sauvignon is incredible.

3. Nichelini Family Winery: This winery is very family driven, and very welcoming because of it. They have a great selection of red wines, be sure to try Red Reserve if you do a tasting here.

4. Goosecross Cellars: I will one hundred percent go back to this winery purely for the company. Our hosts were fantastic, primarily for their sense of humor. The back patio is a great place to do a tasting and there was a very accepting, laid back and young vibe at this winery. Also, their new 2013 Sauvignon Blanc is to die for.

If any of you have any recommendations for Napa I would love to hear them!

Definitely consider trying out these wineries next time you are in Napa.

Love,
Lauren

Weekend in Napa

August 2, 2015

Yesterday I spent the entire day roaming around Napa with my best friends. It’s such a wonderful thing living in San Francisco- about an hour up North is one of the most beautiful world-renouned wine regions. This was only my second time tasting up there, and it was one for the books.

Napa in the summer is HOT, and apparently I didn’t get the memo since I wore a dense jean dress and booties. This sort of outfit would have been ideal for fall in wine country, but it was too much for summer. This is exactly why I have put together a guide for you all of ideal example outfits to wear for every season in wine country:

Spring: Short sleeve sheer blouse, tailored pants/capris (culottes), open-toed high-heeled sandals

Summer: Flow-y dress (long or short), open-toed sandals/flats, sunglasses, delicate jewelry

Fall: Light sweater, thicker dress (jean, for example), booties, floppy hat

Winter: Heavier sweater, nice pants, flats, wool scarf

Wineries we visited:

1. Patz and Hall– by appointment only, technically in Sonoma. Only make Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
2. Whitehall Lane– Very friendly wine staff, best Merlot I have ever tasted. Cooking classes on the weekends. Highly recommend.
3. Sullivan Winery– Boutique winery with a garden tasting, all varietals, fig/plum/peach trees you can eat off of… Need I say more.

What I’m Wearing:

Jean Dress: Vintage (thrifted)
Floppy hat: Charming Charlie (in stores only)
Booties: Old Navy (I know, right?)
Jewelry: Rocksbox, scavenged from Treasure Island Flea

I’m excited to announce a collaboration with Pottery Barn Teen, a new post will be up next week showing you all what we did with my bedroom!

Love,
BB xx
