Straw Hat

March 4, 2016

We all know that fashion revolves around the seasons, and this spring, I couldn’t be more on board! The blooms are out in San Francisco, the rain is coming, and it makes my heart flutter. I have been transitioning my outfits from winter into spring, which is not hard in SF because the weather is so mild this season (it can even get in the 70’s/80’s this time of year).

For a casual day of picnic-ing in the park and exploring around the city, which is the most common weekend activities for me here, I paired this no-sleeve mock neck tee (similar here) with an A-line skirt from GAP. One of the most important accessories for spring, though, has got to be hats. I’m loving straw hats this season- from wide-brimmed beach-y versions to flat top fedoras, I love them all for separate occasions. My favorite, though has to be the latter, which is what I paired with the skirt and mock neck tee.

What are your guys’ favs for spring? I know some other things on my list are: bathing suits (anything with an Aztec print and high neck line and I’m in), open toed heels and maxi dresses!

Looking forward to a vacation I have coming up 🙂 Stay tuned to see where!

Love,
Lauren

Camel Cape

February 4, 2016

I have worn this camel cape for a while now, and truth be told, I thrifted it a long time ago from Buffalo Exchange. It just so happens that the capes are a trend again… That or they never went out of style in the first place. I think it might be the latter, since I think capes and trench coats are a timeless staple that everyone needs in their closet.

Lindsey of Seamless Sea and I teamed up for this shoot. We had a little girly date beforehand, exploring Buffalo Exchange in the Haight-Ashbury district then heading to brunch at Sparrow Bar and Kitchen. I ordered a salad then quickly regretted that decision and ordered a warm buttermilk biscuit to satisfy my carb cravings (which I always have).

Anyways, I paired the cape with a schoolgirl-like check skirt I got from Zara. Whoever said black doesn’t go with brown was clearly thinking wrong.

Although I can’t quite remember where I got this cape, I linked a few below that are quite similar.

I’m headed somewhere warm this weekend, I can’t wait! Follow along on my snapchat–>Bohemianbybay!

Much love,
Lauren
