International Women’s Day

March 8, 2016

As many of you may have heard it is not only National Pancake Day, but also International Women’s Day. I teamed up with a bunch of other bloggers and to bring awareness to the day and to celebrate female empowerment.

I thought this was a perfect chance to show you all a typical work outfit, as I do often wear suits for my full-time job (which is not blogging, by the way). I work as a financial consultant, which requires business casual wear. For client meetings, I need to dress in full business professional, but I would say this look is a mix between the two. For the warmer weather that is around the corner, I paired my absolute favorite slim ankle pants from Banana Republic with a short sleeve black blazer and some two-toned small heels (I can’t wear tall heels all day, my feet hurt too bad!).

I’ve been switching up the content on my blog lately, I hope you all are liking it! What do you all wear for your workday?

Love,
Lauren

Work to Play Pieces

October 27, 2015

Hi lovelies! I just got back from Colorado after a much needed relaxing weekend with my friends and family, so it’s back to work for me. Dressing for work has forever been a challenge since I have to dress “business casual” for my everyday job, as a financial consultant, and this differs from how I would ideally dress everyday. I found finding pieces that easily transition from work to play is key, like these amazing snakeskin loafers.

Everyday work to play essentials not only include clothing, but also jewelry. Gorjana is my favorite, and has some of the best simple, gold jewelry that is perfect for work and play. AND they deliver through Rocksbox! So you don’t have to commit to the pieces unless you really love them.

What I’m Wearing:
Stripe Cotton Tee: Zara
Jewelry: Gorjana
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Snakeskin Loafers: H&M

Don’t forget to use the code laurendaileyxoxo to get your first month of Rocksbox free!

Love you all,
BB xx

Downtown SF

October 12, 2015

Hi lovelies! It’s been a hot minute since I posted, but work has got me like AHH and I took a break last weekend from my usual Sunday post because I went camping in Big Sur with my girly friends. I LOVED it there, it reminded me of hippy Boulder meets the rocky California coast. Complete heaven. Anyway, I met up last week with a photographer I have wanted to shoot with for a while now, Melissa de Mata, who is an absolute angel to work with. She is delightful. This is one of two looks that we shot together.

What I’m Wearing:
Sweatshirt: Zara TRF
Mini Leather Messenger Bag: Zara
Leggings: Target
Heels: H&M (on sale!)

I’ve got a lot of posts in line for this week so get ready 🙂

Much Love,
BB xx
