Are you struggling attract your ideal clients online on a consistent basis? Are you always comparing your personal brand to others? Do you feel defeated when you look at someone else’s seemingly perfect brand? Are you not able to charge what you are worth? If you are answering “Yes” to some of these questions, chances are you might need to reassess your branding.
Your brand is the first thing that people see when they encounter you online. It’s like your online portfolio of your best work. It’s the first chance for someone to see that you either have your SH*T together, or you don’t. Once you have a consistent and appealing brand, you are able to position yourself as a leader in your field. This will allow you to stop the comparison game, be proud of yourself and your work, and you will be able to charge what you deserve for your service.
There are a couple ways that you can do this:
1. Hire a designer- this is the most expensive, yet most efficient way to get your SH*T together. It’s the way that I went when I decided I need my own brand and AFTER I spent hours and did it myself… which was valuable to learn, just not very efficient.
2. Do it yourself- I did it this way for many, many, years. And the truth is, you CAN get a beautiful template for your website for a fraction of the cost that you pay for a designer. It’s a perfectly sound way to get out there and start making money.
Once you have this… It’s time to define your tagline, mission statement, and values. To do this, ask yourself these questions:
Values: What desirable lasting beliefs do I want my business to embody?
Example- Consciousness, Sustainability, Love, Embodiment, Intentionality
Mission Statement: What do we do, how do we do it, and why do we do it?
Example- I am a blogger and business coach and I help other bloggers and creative entrepreneurs up-level their business strategy so that they can pursue their passion, have more freedom, and ultimately live a life they love with a sustainable income.
Tagline/Elevator Pitch: One liner containing the basics of what your business does.
Example- I am a blogger + business coach that helps conscious bloggers and creative entrepreneurs build and scale a sustainable business for the long run.
These are three pillars that will give your business clear direction from the get-go.
Once you have these in place, people will know EXACTLY what you do and perhaps how they can get involved. When you are super clear about your niche, you can attract exactly the clients and brands that you desire because they are in line with your mission.
Hope this helps y’all get SUPER duper clear on your brand!
Love,
Lauren
