I have always been drawn to the color green, especially when it’s army green or any green that resembles nature. I think it’s part of who I am, being from Colorado and growing up near grassy fields and coniferous trees. I try to incorporate that same feeling of serenity and freedom found in nature into my wardrobe. I also draw inspiration from my surroundings, which in San Francisco include everything from light green and blue succulents to pastel-colored architecture. That is one of my favorite things about San Francisco, the abundance of natural and man-made surroundings that make the city unique. From the moss-covered sidewalks to the vine-covered alleyways, there is really nothing like it.
Speaking of, I stumbled upon the most perfect alleyway near my street on the way to brunch. It’s amazing when you take things a little slower how much you realize you miss in the busy hustle and bustle of life. Anyway, enough of this sappy reflection and musing. I picked out this Split Maxi Dress from Sheinside not only because it looked comfortable, but also because it’s in my favorite shade of green 🙂
I paired the maxi dress with my new brown tote from Charming Charlie and my lace-up heels that I have had since forever (I’m glad I kept them, some things do come back in style!).
