A life + style guide for the modern bohemian woman

Distressed Overalls

March 29, 2016

If I had to pick one trend that most people say “I couldn’t pull that off” about, it would be overalls. But let me tell you this, you probably can, you just need to know what to wear them with and what style fits your shape. For example, if you are extremely tall, I wouldn’t recommend a skinny fit. And vice versa, if you are on the shorter side, I wouldn’t recommend a boyfriend fit. Other than that, there are many styles out there to choose from. One style that I like that works with any size is distressed overalls.

I paired my distressed pair (sold out at Zara, similar at Madewell) with a long sleeve top from J. Crew and my Converse that I have had since highschool. This created more of a laid-back vibe, but to dress overalls up, just throw on heels and add a nice bag!

To top off this look, I tied my hair into a quintessential girl bun (half-up with a top knot…pun intended). So let it be known that you CAN pull off overalls and a top knot if you wish, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Love,
Lauren
