I cannot tell you guys how excited I am to launch my new blog! I hope you all like the new look, I tried to keep it playful yet clean. For the featured shoot, my favorite photographer and even better friend Emily and I shot in North Beach, a neighborhood famous for it’s Italian food and late night pastry and espresso shops. I love the lively vibe in this neighborhood that allows you to transition from dinner to late night espresso to dancing in a matter of hours, like the Italians do. Such a carefree vibe.

For this shoot, I decided to dress for the occasion, dinner that is. I was probably a little overdressed for the hole-in-the-wall Italian joint we went to, but I always like to be a tad overdressed. I recommend checking out Ristorante Franchino for a wholesome meal and probably the best Gnocchi I’ve ever had.

I decided to pair this sheer dress with an olive tee and tie it on the side to create a silhouette.

Sunday Picnic in the Park

This Sunday I was so happy when my friend Alex came up with the best idea for a relaxing Sunday, a picnic! We went to Trader Joe’s and World Market (my favorite) to pick up some essentials: Bellini (peach champagne), cherries, cheese, crackers, a loaf of bread and the cutest mini jellies. I was about to go all out French with a baguette and wine, but we Americanized it a little.

The Bellini kicked in and we ended up soaking up the sun for longer than anticipated, laying on the blanket. For this occasion, I wore a denim on denim, which is super in right now and brings me back to the seventies (in a good way). To my surprise, Alex wore the same thing! Great minds apparently think alike and wear denim to picnics.

At the end of the day, we had saturated ourselves in Bellini, cheese, crackers, jelly and laughter. It was a great Sunday at Washington Square Park in North Beach.

A Blogger’s Brunch

Happy Weekend lovers! Yesterday I went to brunch with a few bloggers I met at the Visualyst event a few months ago: Melis of The Fashion Mews, Sirin of Sweetness of Fashion, and Joanna of Basics and Gold. You all should definitely check them out. We went to Park Tavern in North Beach, one of the few brunch places in San Francisco that actually takes reservations! It had a wonderful mix of sweet and savory options and a cool, rustic vibe (I approve of the antlers hanging on the wall).

What I’m Wearing:For this brunch, I wore a new black jumpsuit I got from H&M. The weather has been a little bit cold for the past few days, but it started to warm up this weekend so I only needed a light jacket. I paired it with strappy sandals and some Rocksbox jewelry.
