Bohemian by the Bay

A life + style guide for the modern bohemian woman

Sunshine is Fine

September 21, 2015

Hi All! It’s been a whirlwind of a past week. There has been a lot of planning and collaborating happening behind the scenes over here: I joined a group of foodie bloggers one night to help with a campaign (check out Cyn Eats), worked on my portfolio for work (details to come later), had a wine night with my girl friends… the list goes on. So much fun but so exhausting, I’ve came down with a cold. Despite my tiredness, I still managed to get out and move this weekend and had the chance to try Park Chow, a restaurant off of Gold Gate Park for brunch. If you have a chance to go here, be sure to grab a seat on their upstairs patio- it was ninety-degrees outside, so naturally this is where we ate. And make sure to order a blueberry pancake or French toast.

Seeing that it was a smoldering weekend, I paired these loose cotton pants with a crop top for brunch. We were headed to the beach afterwards, so it was a nice transition outfit. For those of you who are wondering… yes, I did switch my suede wedges for strappy, beach-friendly sandals and yes, this is my naturally curly hair. Keeping it wild in this heatwave 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Pattern jersey pants: H&M
Wedges: Lucky Brand (similar here)
Tan tote: Nordstrom
Jewelry: H&M (in stores only)

Look forward to some awesome collabs and a recap of the Re:Make this week!

Love you all,
BB xoxo

The New Boheme

June 8, 2015

This weekend was a whirlwind of a weekend. I spent most of it at new brunch places in new neighborhoods, a favorite past time of mine as you all should know well by now. I tried two new places in the Inner Richmond neighborhood, both I would recommend for different reasons: Velo Rouge Cafe for their quick, delicious omelets and Blue Bottle Coffee; and The Corner Store for their buttermilk biscuits and pancakes.

Since I spend most of my work week in business casual clothes, I love to dress up on weekends and experiment with pieces that are impractical to wear to work. One such piece is this overall A-line dress. It looks great paired with flats or booties and can easily transition over to a night out piece with some heels and a blazer. For this day of brunching and shopping, I paired with my floppy hat and flats for an overall casual look. I’ve been attracted to neutrals paired with a pop of color lately (in this case being colorful San Francisco) 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Black Dress: Thrifted (originally from LA:HEARTS)
Long Sleeve: J. Crew Painter’s Tee (Now on sale!)
Necklace: Thrifted
Hat: Charming Charlie
Shoes: Thrifted
Studded Bag: H&M

On another note, I’m dying to get my hands on some mules lately…

Love you all,
BB xx
