Grey T-Shirt Dress

August 1, 2016

I’ve always loved the simplicity of dresses. You can effortlessly throw them on and look like a million bucks. You only have to pick out one piece of clothing then it’s onto accessories! What is more simple than that? One of my favorites for the summer and transitioning into fall is the t-shirt dress. I picked this one from Amour Vert for it’s simplicity and texture (this is quite possibly one of the softest dresses I own). For an evening stroll to dinner in SF, I paired it with my lace-ups and a Michael Kors bag from VogueTote. I usually don’t wear pink, even though I love the color for decor, but I thought this bag worked for a nice pop of color.

I definitely want to try different style variations of this dress. I’m looking for some cute nude mules (and have been for a while now) that would go with this dress. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know there are some cute ones like these at Nordstrom, but I’m just not sure!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend 🙂

Love,
Lauren

Black OTS Long Sleeve Top

July 25, 2016

A good way to transition the off the shoulder trend into fall is with a long sleeve top. I got this one from Simple Retro, a new clothing brand with some really cute retro-chic pieces. For a brisk summer San Francisco day at the Embarcadero Farmer’s Market, I paired this OTS long sleeve with a long, flow-y maxi skirt, some gladiator sandals, and a wide brim hat. This is a great weekend casual bohemian-chic outfit that is good for walking around all day and warm enough for San Francisco summers!

I love popping down to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday’s to pick up some fresh ingredients for dinner and weekday meals. There are some world class bakers, cheese connoisseurs, coffee roasters, vegetable growers, hummus makers, and everything in between. Jack and I bought some cheddar and bacon biscuits to share on the way back home 🙂

What are some of you all’s favorite weekend activities? Comment below, I would love to know!

Love,
Lauren

Fourth of July in Coronado

July 8, 2016

If you’ve been following along on my Snapchat (Bohemianbybay) or , you know that for the fourth I went to San Diego to meet up with my besties. Before the shenanigans that happened on the fourth in Pacific Beach, Jack and I went out for a nice dinner in Coronado. I’ve never been to Coronado before, but man was I blown away. Coronado was one of the most beautiful places I’ve been in California, and that is saying a lot because in the two years I have lived here, I’ve been to quite a lot of locations.

For a dinner at Bluewater Grill, a gorgeous bayside restaurant, I wore my white knit dress I picked up from Amour Vert a few weeks ago. It was the perfect outfit to wear for the night, especially when beach nights get a little chilly after the sun goes down. I paired it with my go-to gladiators (I might need another pair… I always wear these)!

I absolutely loved exploring around the Hotel del Coronado at sunset. People were just coming in from their day at the beach, were getting ready for bonfires, on their way to dinner, or just on a sunset stroll. I felt like I was walking along the Outerbanks shores on the East Coast; the beach had this magical, fleeting and romantic vibe. Oh man, I love traveling. Let me know if you have any recommendations for next time I head to Coronado, because I know I will be back!

Much love,
Lauren

Wrap Maxi Skirt

June 27, 2016

This weekend was absolutely beautiful in the city. It was in the high 70’s all weekend, the Pride festival was in full affect and the sun was shining. Weekends like these make me love living in this city. On Saturday, I explored around Japantown for the first time since moving here with my friend Shikha. Although I have tasted a mean Korean BBQ in Japantown, I’ve never taken the time to walk around there. We went to a few shops and wandered in Crown & Crumpet, the CUTEST tea shop I’ve ever seen. I was dressed for the part with a long wrap skirt I picked up from the Amour Vert event earlier this week.

I paired the wrap skirt with my black lace-up wedges, a light sea foam green colored tank and a really useful black tote from Charming Charlie. This wrap skirt is such a great summer staple- the length is midi (so in), the fabric allows for great movement, and this skirt itself it is cut from the highest quality Mulberry silk.

Amour Vert (means GREEN LOVE in French… swoon) is such a great brand. I’ve fallen in love with their unique styles and the way they go about sustainable fashion with non toxic dyes, sensuous fabrics and innovative techniques. If you haven’t checked out their Hayes Valley store, be sure to pop in!

Love,
Lauren
