Last week, my bestie London Ellis and I took a break from our computer screens and headed to one of my favorite spots in LA- Santa Monica. Santa Monica can get a bad rep for being one of the most toursity spots in LA, but I’ve always thought of Santa Monica as the quintessential LA beach town with palm tree-lined streets, skateboarders, colorful hotels, epic sunsets and summer concerts at the pier. There are some gems in this neighborhood that you don’t want to miss! One of which is the Georgian Hotel, located on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. This was our first time heading to the big, bright blue hotel, and it was stunning!
We were called upon to visit the hotel for their new High Tea Tasting at The Veranda Restaurant. The restaurant is located on the large porch directly in front of the hotel, overlooking the ocean and Ocean Avenue. Super picturesque! This is one of the best places to people watch (and sunset watch) in LA!
For High Tea, you get the choice to order from various high quality teas from around the world. We chose a simple white and green tea for our meal. For the meal, we ordered the works- all of the pastries, macaroons, and mini sandwiches you can eat. You can choose from various food options that are included in the High Tea menu, but we chose the works because you know… We’re extra (and I take breaks from my keto diet at least 2x per week bc BALANCE).
During the meal, we played princess, pretended like we are from England and spoke in accents (well me, bc London is from London lol…), and stuffed our faces. What a glorious afternoon!
If you are looking for a respite from the hustle and bustle of LA, dress up and head to The Georgian Hotel for some High Tea!
