Strolling around the City

September 28, 2015

This past weekend my long time friend from college, Chelsea, was visiting the city. I was so excited that I got to play tour guide and show her all of my favorite places in the city. We spent Saturday at Oktoberfest on Pier 48 all day, so on Sunday I wanted to do something more ritual. The first thing that came to my mind was, the Golden Gate Bridge, a bit of hiking and of course brunching. We hiked Land’s End Trail then went to Outerlands, my favorite brunch place in the city.

I wanted to wear something more casual for this outing, so I paired a flannel with my ripped jeans and my new Vans. I absolutely love these Vans, they are SO comfortable. Perfect for walking around the city all day. I love them so much, I might dress them up for going out… (new post idea?!)

What I’m Wearing:
Flannel: H&M
Jeans: Bullhead
Shoes: Vans
Sunnies: H&M
Watch: Daniel Wellington

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Get excited for next week’s post, it will be a travel themed one 🙂

Much love,
BB xx

Weddington Way Gent Shop

September 24, 2015

I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday! As for me, I’m stuck at home sick, but at least that means I can do an extra post this week 🙂 Now for the good stuff, Weddington Way asked me to partner again with them to pick out a tux from their Gent Shop tuxedo rentals and pair it with a bridesmaid dress, available here. I love Weddington Way and everything my friend Hannah Pobar is doing with the brand, so of course I said yes. My picks are…

A black tux and a grey bow tie. I love the simplicity of this black tux with the classy and untraditional bow tie. The bow tie adds some playfulness to the tux, something that guys don’t usually get with a classic black suit and tie. The grey also complements the blush of the bridesmaids dress I chose below.

I paired the tux with a simple A-line dress in blush. The high neck line of this dress is to die for, and the shape is so timeless. Ideally I would choose the rest of my bridesmaids dresses to be a shape that matches all of their different body types, but in the same color. I think it’s fun to mix and match a little!

Hope everyone has a great rest of their day, I’m off to sleep (after I finish binge watching Sex and the City and ordering Thai food…)

Re:Make Brit + Co Recap

September 23, 2015

A couple weekends ago I attended the Re:Make DIY Event at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason. It was an event filled with DIY stations, photo booths, and local artisans selling their work. It was lovely to see all kinds of different makers at this event- from custom cards, to food, to jewelry to clothing. I attended with Tiffany of Sunshine Daydream Photography for her two year blog anniversary. What a fun way to celebrate. Scroll to the end for some of my favorite vendors! (Be warned: their stuff is WAY cute and you might end up spending more than you bargained for, but totally worth it)

Some of my favorite brands at the event:

Bethany Eden– water color art
Ficks– hangover cure beverage
Esselle– handcrafted goods
Shades of Sugar Bakeshop– macaroons… enough said
Sarah Walsh– illustration
Honey My Heart– jewelry
Unurth– home goods

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did! I might be going back for some purchases myself…

Love,
BB xx

Sunshine is Fine

September 21, 2015

Hi All! It’s been a whirlwind of a past week. There has been a lot of planning and collaborating happening behind the scenes over here: I joined a group of foodie bloggers one night to help with a campaign (check out Cyn Eats), worked on my portfolio for work (details to come later), had a wine night with my girl friends… the list goes on. So much fun but so exhausting, I’ve came down with a cold. Despite my tiredness, I still managed to get out and move this weekend and had the chance to try Park Chow, a restaurant off of Gold Gate Park for brunch. If you have a chance to go here, be sure to grab a seat on their upstairs patio- it was ninety-degrees outside, so naturally this is where we ate. And make sure to order a blueberry pancake or French toast.

Seeing that it was a smoldering weekend, I paired these loose cotton pants with a crop top for brunch. We were headed to the beach afterwards, so it was a nice transition outfit. For those of you who are wondering… yes, I did switch my suede wedges for strappy, beach-friendly sandals and yes, this is my naturally curly hair. Keeping it wild in this heatwave 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Pattern jersey pants: H&M
Wedges: Lucky Brand (similar here)
Tan tote: Nordstrom
Jewelry: H&M (in stores only)

Look forward to some awesome collabs and a recap of the Re:Make this week!

Love you all,
BB xoxo
