Girls Night Out

August 26, 2015

Hi all! I’m super excited to share with you today’s post. Last Saturday, a group of my girlfriends and I headed to Hayes Valley for a nice dinner. The restaurant we chose was Mazzat, an authentic Lebanese restaurant. We ordered appetizers for all, and smothered them in the best garlic pine nut hummus you have ever tasted. I highly recommend this place for a nice dinner date with friends or significant others.

I decided to feature this incredible blouse from Triple Thread Co. that I received in the mail a few weeks ago. I love that it has so many layers of sheer goodness that it’s almost like a dress! I paired it with skinnies and my mules that I love so much. I also tried out the whole woman-bun thing on the top of my head… Is that hipster enough for you or what!

What I’m Wearing:

Black blouse: Triple Thread Co.

Suede Mules: Lucky Brand (similar here)

Skinnies: GAP

Jewelry: Thrifted

Hope you enjoyed this post! Love recommending restaurants and outfits to wear in all the fun SF neighborhoods 🙂

Love,

BB xx

SF Beach Daze

August 23, 2015

Beaches in San Francisco have a bad reputation, but they can actually be enjoyable (if you pick the right day). Yesterday I headed to Ocean Beach for a shoot with my partner in crime, Emily. It was about 70-degrees during the day in SF, so I figured it would the perfect day for a beach shoot. We got there at about 5pm hoping to hit golden hour, but it was SO cold and windy. Nevertheless, there were surfers and families exploring the coast. The conclusion: beaches in SF are just different than those in SoCal- just as enjoyable, but more like sweater weather than bikini weather.

I was DYING to show off my new tan tote that I purchased this week. I had originally wanted to get the tote from Madewell, but found one third of the price at Nordstrom after doing a little in-mall research. I paired it with my striped maxi dress and strappy tan sandals that I’ve had forever.

What I’m Wearing:
Striped Maxi Dress: Free People
Denim Vest: Urban Outfitters (similar here)
Sandals: Thrifted
Reversible Tote: Nordstrom

Look forward to a city-chic look up later this week 🙂

Love you all,
BB xoxo

Warby Parker SF Pop-In Shop

August 13, 2015

Hi lovelies! A little bit of a different post on the blog tonight. Warby Parker asked me to help promote a pop-in shop for their sunglass collection at Nordstrom in SF! I’ve always admired the design of this brand- graphic and clean, yet effortlessly youthful and modern. Named after two characters in an early Jack Kerouac novel, the brand is revolutionizing designer eyewear by making it affordable and accessible. For every pair of glasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. Talk about doing good in the world! Not to mention their glasses are to die for. Some of my favorites in the new collection are below (I’m a sucker for the Tortoise Shell).

Be sure to head to the Pop-in at Nordstrom on 865 Market Street before September 6th to see the new collection!

Much love,
BB xx

P.S. This post is in no way sponsored by Warby Parker- just giving back to brands that give back to the community. What goes around comes around 🙂

PBTeen x Bohemian by the Bay

August 5, 2015

I have always loved Pottery Barn’s simple, classically elegant style so when they asked me to collaborate on a room makeover, I didn’t need to think twice. PBTeen has some great staple pieces at affordable prices so you can get the look for less- which is especially convenient when you live in a one bedroom apartment in San Francisco where rent is off the charts and your main living space is your room…

When I saw the Junk Gypsy Field of Clouds Textured Quilt + Sham, I fell in love. I had been searching for the same type of comforter and found many on sites such as West Elm and Anthropologie, but all were over $300. This quilt was exactly what I was looking for- it is the perfect mix of girly and minimal, with the delicate ruching paired with the crisp white color that matches any type of décor.

I paired the quilt with Sequin Ikat Pillow covers to brighten up the foggy days that are so common here in San Francisco. I love the pastel color palette of these pillows that matches the San Francisco landscape glittered with light pink houses and the aqua water of the bay.
To complete the look, I paired the Filigree Beauty Necklace Stand with the Mirrored Trifold Vanity to create a fresh-from-the-flea-maket antiqued bohemian vibe.

Be sure to check out PBTeen’s blog to see my room makeover over there too 🙂

This was so much fun, hope you guys enjoy!

Love,

BB xx
