Sundays in Gingham

June 29, 2015

Sundays are for two things: brunch and photoshoots. At least in my world. Some momentous things happened this weekend- SF pride fest and my first time getting an acai bowl in the city. I know the latter does not quite stack up to the former, but you get the point. A few friends and I headed to Basik Cafe to get our bowl fix this fine Sunday morning, and were extremely satisfied afterwards. All the healthy, fresh ingredients my body needs, mmm. I decided to dress casual in gingham and Converse for this outing- take a peek.

I paired the sneakers with the gigham button up because I like to add a little edge to feminine pieces and patterns. My beat up Converse and red lipstick provide just the right amount of edge to this outfit.

What I’m Wearing:
Gingham button up: Levi’s (similar here)
Converse: no explanation needed
Tan under-dress: American Apparel
Bag: Steve Madden
Jewelry: Rocksbox

Remember you can use the code laurendaileyxoxo to get your first month of Rocksbox free!

Much love,
BB xx

Colorado Getaway

June 23, 2015

This past week I traveled to Colorado, my home state, to see my family for our yearly trip to Steamboat Springs for Father’s Day. Colorado in the summer has to be my favorite place on Earth. Yes, I am biased because it’s where I’m from, but the green fields, blue skies and crisp mountain air cannot be beat. My family and I road tripped to a small farm town outside of Steamboat, called Clark. If you are ever in Steamboat, I recommend going the 20 extra minutes North to Clark for ice cream at The Clark Store and a bison burger at Murphy’s Tavern.

For days filled with relaxing by the river, I stuck with flow-y bohemian chic pieces paired with denim. Colorado really brings out the hippie in me- nowadays I’m looking for an antidote to SF city minimalism.

What I’m Wearing:
Embroidered blouse: Monsoon UK
Denim shorts: Levi’s
Rings: Various thrifted
Sandals: Target

Headed back to SF tomorrow, but before I go, here are 10 reasons to get out into nature.

Much love,
BB xx

Weddington Way

June 17, 2015

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting with Hannah Pobar who is a lead designer at Weddington Way. It was a dreamy shoot in the Weddington Way studio filled with champagne, bridal dresses and glittering jewelry. Hannah is such a lovely lady who makes you feel comfortable with any silly pose you may be doing. We had a blast, not to mention I got to try on all types of dresses. Made me think of what I would want my bridal party to be like… Just kidding. Totally kidding, I’m way too young for that.

I’m absolutely in love with how these came out! Be sure to check out Weddington Way for some delicate, flirty and fun bridesmaids dresses for that special day.

Much love,
BB <3

P.S. I’m currently back in my hometown celebrating Father’s Day. Follow along on my .

The New Boheme

June 8, 2015

This weekend was a whirlwind of a weekend. I spent most of it at new brunch places in new neighborhoods, a favorite past time of mine as you all should know well by now. I tried two new places in the Inner Richmond neighborhood, both I would recommend for different reasons: Velo Rouge Cafe for their quick, delicious omelets and Blue Bottle Coffee; and The Corner Store for their buttermilk biscuits and pancakes.

Since I spend most of my work week in business casual clothes, I love to dress up on weekends and experiment with pieces that are impractical to wear to work. One such piece is this overall A-line dress. It looks great paired with flats or booties and can easily transition over to a night out piece with some heels and a blazer. For this day of brunching and shopping, I paired with my floppy hat and flats for an overall casual look. I’ve been attracted to neutrals paired with a pop of color lately (in this case being colorful San Francisco) 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Black Dress: Thrifted (originally from LA:HEARTS)
Long Sleeve: J. Crew Painter’s Tee (Now on sale!)
Necklace: Thrifted
Hat: Charming Charlie
Shoes: Thrifted
Studded Bag: H&M

On another note, I’m dying to get my hands on some mules lately…

Love you all,
BB xx
