Bohemian by the Bay

A life + style guide for the modern bohemian woman

Treasure Island Flea Market

April 26, 2015

Today I took a trip across the bay to the Treasure Island Flea Market. It has been super rainy here, (spring in San Francisco is chilly!) but today was beautiful. The Treasure Island Flea has some of the best finds in the bay area for antique furniture, unique jewelry, and succulents galore.

My purchases included: two handmade ceramic and stone bowls, one clay mug, a deer ring (so cute!), a succulent in a painted mason jar, and some basil Parmesan dipping oil. Too fun! There were some awesome Mother’s Day gifts if you haven’t gotten Mom anything yet, check out the vendors tagged below. My favorite purchase would have to be the clay and stone bowls. Only five dollars each, and they look like something straight out of Anthropologie.

For a classic flea market bohemian look, I wore a geometric dress, floppy hat, and gladiator sandals. I love the pastel triangle print on this long sleeve dress- super versatile for the spring/summer transition. My gladiator sandals held up nicely, too. Hope you all enjoy 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Button-down dress: Collective Concepts
Floppy Hat: Charming Charlie
Sandals: Thrifted
Circle Necklace: Crossroads

Some vendors that especially stood out to me:

Indigo Cynosure
Twine And Dandy
Nan’s Gourmet Foods

I’m switching platforms soon, look forward to a whole new look 🙂

Much Love,
BB xx

Farmer’s Market Saturdays

April 19, 2015

Happy weekend loves! I hope your Sunday is being well spent (hopefully reading my blog). Yesterday I woke up early to test our my new lens (Canon 50mm 1.8/f). It’s the next step up from the kit lens and perfect for those that aren’t ready to spend their life savings on a lens. I am still getting used to shooting with a non-zoom lens, and so is my lovely friend Emily (who took these pics).

We shot these on our way to Olea, a hidden brunch spot in Nob Hill. They just re-opened after a really bad car accident that skidded into the restaurant. After reconstruction, the place looks as cute as ever. Anyway, lately I have been super into these long chambray shirt dresses that are sort of reminiscent of Tom Cruise in Risky Business… Nonetheless, they are the perfect go-to button down for an easy breezy look. I paired this one I got recently at H&M with some strappy brown sandals and a backpack for an extra casual look.

What I’m Wearing:
White Shirt-dress: H&M
Sandals: Target
Jewelry: Rocksbox (use code laurendaileyxoxo for your first month free!)
Backpack; Got it in Italy a few years back

Look forward to some camera experimentation with clothing goodness in posts to come!

P.S. I’m switching platforms soon (to WordPress) so stay tuned for a new web address/blog layout 🙂

Love you all,
BB xx

A Blogger’s Brunch

April 13, 2015

Happy Weekend lovers! Yesterday I went to brunch with a few bloggers I met at the Visualyst event a few months ago: Melis of The Fashion Mews, Sirin of Sweetness of Fashion, and Joanna of Basics and Gold. You all should definitely check them out. We went to Park Tavern in North Beach, one of the few brunch places in San Francisco that actually takes reservations! It had a wonderful mix of sweet and savory options and a cool, rustic vibe (I approve of the antlers hanging on the wall).

What I’m Wearing:For this brunch, I wore a new black jumpsuit I got from H&M. The weather has been a little bit cold for the past few days, but it started to warm up this weekend so I only needed a light jacket. I paired it with strappy sandals and some Rocksbox jewelry. Remember that you can use the code laurendaileyxoxo to receive your first month from Rocksbox free! I love the idea of a rotating jewelry closet, since I like to experiment with different trends for work and play. I also love getting surprises in the mail every month 🙂

What I’m Wearing:
Black Jumpsuit: H&M
Heels: Steve Madden
Jewelry: Rocksbox
Lipstick: NYX Matte in Eden
Jacket: GAP

I bought some cute pieces in L.A. last weekend that I can’t wait to share in my next few posts!

Much love,
BB xoxo
